Mission, Vision & Impact

The Scouting America, Aloha Council was incorporated to provide a program for community organizations that offers effective character, citizenship, and personal fitness training for youth. To service others by helping to instill values in young people and, in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical choices during their lifetime in achieving their full potential. The values we strive to instill are based on those found in the Scout Oath and Law.

Scouting America, Aloha Council delivers the promise of Scouting to youth in Hawaii on the island of Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and Hawaii, and in the US territories of American Samoa, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

The council, headquartered in Honolulu, serves these areas with offices located in Wailuku, Hilo, Guam, and American Samoa.

Aloha Council has 157 Scouting units chartered by over 80 different community groups that include civic, non-profit, religious, educational and business organizations across the Pacific region.

With the support of more than 2,000 adult volunteers, in addition to a 48-member Board of Directors, the Aloha Council is one of the largest and most established youth-serving organizations with a presence on the islands of Kauai, Oahu, Maui County, and Hawaii, as well as Guam and American Samoa.
